Product review: Hi, My name is Makailya Smitherman. I just received my first order of your Shea and Mango Conditioner and I just wanted to tell you how much I loved what it did for my hair. I have natural coarse hair and usually just no poo by using a conditioner since my hair has always been too dry. I am currently living in Canada and it is very dry here and also difficult to find good hair care products for kinky hair like mine. I saw a review about your conditioner in a hair care group and tried it for the first time two days ago. The first thing I noticed was that my hair felt soft immediately and it wasnt tangled as usual. I then noticed that my hair was very shiny and it stayed shiny even though I havent used any oils on it in two days. My roommate noticed the same results on her relaxed hair which was a pleasant surprise to both of us since her hair has some damage from flat irons and usually doesnt condition well. I very rarely write product reviews but I was so pleased with the results that I got from using your Kiwi Coconut Hair Smoothie that I wanted to say thank you! I am stationed overseas in Iraq and have had a lot of difficulty finding the right kinds of products that could really work on my 4b hair. My hair has always been extremely tight, frizzy, coarse and so dry that in high school kids called me the Brillo Pad. I have used all kinds of products in the past but my hair seemed to drink up oil no matter how much I put on it. My mother found out about your product line and sent me a bottle of the Kiwi Coconut Hair Smoothie in Kiwi Coconut Fragrance and the Napturally Sulfate Free Shampoo. One day after using these products ( I literally mean ONE day), I did not recognize my own hair. It was shiny, soft and detangled which was a good thing but the BEST thing is how gorgeous my hair looked after doing a two strand twist! NATURALLY WAVY HAIR- Classification 2A,2B or 2C
Answer: Straight hair is classified as type 1 however it is not uncommon for people with biracial backgrounds to have mixed textures of hair. Knowing your hair type is important due to the fact that some products may adversely effect different types of textures. For example, perms and relaxers are both chemical processes however both are not as equally effective on different types of hair. If your hair is damaged from heated appliances, chemicals, dyes, or bad hair care products, use Mineral Indulgence Olive & Rosemary Hot Oil Conditioning Treatment to revitalize and replenish the oils that your hair is now lacking. Trim any split ends and maintain your hair with natural products in order to properly condition it in a fast and effective manner. Try to use less heat on your hair whenever possible but if needed, use a small amount of Shea Pressing Oil to help protect your hair during heat application. Hair Texture: Tighter curl pattern with low shine, lots of body, coil, spring and medium to heavy shrinkage when wet.
3A hair types have a looser curl pattern. 3B hair has a tighter curl pattern thus appears to be dense. 3C hair has a tight curly look and may appear slightly kinky and frizzy with coils.
Question: Hello and thanks for developing natural products for those of us who do not want to use the toxic chemicals that are inside of many hair and skin products. I am highly sensitive to chemicals and have found it difficult to find real natural products in stores. I am also a mother and use these products for my daughters hair too. Question: I only ordered one product (Shea & Mango Conditioner) initially but found out from reading your newsletter that natural products work best when used with other natural products for a complete hair treatment regimen. I stopped using my store bought brands, ordered some others from your website and have been using your products for a few weeks now.
