Mineral Indulgence is an all natural product line created in 2005 by a team of developers which includes among others, a Master Herbalist (person that studies medicinal use of herbs) a cosmetologist, and a lab technician. Our combined experience along with our desire to create healthy products derived from nature, inspired the development of Mineral Indulgence LLC, which is a division of Bare Mineral Indulgence LLC.
The average woman consumes 5 pounds of lipstick (with daily wear) in her lifetime. Cosmetics, lotions and hair products that are traditionally sold on the open market are heavily laden with synthetic ingredients designed to increase the profits of the manufacturers. Many of the ingredients are non functional and therefore unnecessary to include in the products that we buy. This is easily confirmed by simply reading the label on the back of products that are sold in stores.
When one of our team members was diagnosed with a disease that affects the immune system, we became very interested in finding ingredients that would not subject her to cancer causing agents such as methyl parabens, synthetic dyes, petrolatum (mineral oil) and fillers that are frequently used in the brands that most department store and discount stores sell. Creating products from all natural ingredients is not cost efficient for large companies with manufacturing costs, therefore they create products that are cheap to make but expensive for the consumer to buy.
The FDA is the federal government division that monitors what companies in the beauty industry manufacture for sell. However, they do not require these companies to stop selling products that contain agents that are known to cause cancer and other health related problems. They believe that small amounts of these ingredients do not have an adverse effect on the consumers health unless we are frequently exposed to them in massive amounts. Facts show however, that different forms of cancer are increasingly becoming more and more prevalent in our country due to the fact that we use products that contain these ingredients on a daily basis. Since the government does not take a proactive role in protecting consumers from ingredients that are known to be problematic, buyers must be aware of what they are using and what they are exposing their families to.

The government requires that product ingredients be listed in descending order. This means that labels must list the main ingredient first with the other ingredients being listed according to their percentage in the product. Many products contain fillers (unnecessary ingredients) that cause the consumer to believe that they are mostly purchasing active ingredients. Careful analysis will show however that the active ingredient is most often not the primary ingredient. This means that consumers are spending a lot to get a little.
 Read the labels listed on Mineral Indulgence packaging for information regarding the ingredients that we use. Our product line contains close to fifty different herbs, essential oils, butters, plant extracts and minerals.
